Johnny Komar is a New York–based director, cinematographer, and photographer drawn to honest moments, distinctive characters, and stories that feel lived-in.

A graduate of the School of Visual Arts with a degree in Traditional Animation, his background in composition, movement, and visual storytelling continues to shape the way he sees and builds images.

With more than 18 years of experience, Johnny creates cinematic work rooted in observation, subculture, and human connection.

He has created work for Volkswagen, Nike, eBay, Amazon Music, Airbnb, and other global brands, with a particular interest in automotive culture, music, design, and the people who build their lives around what they love.
